The article discusses topical issues of ensuring flight safety in the framework of the processes of simulator and theoretical training of pilots. Based on the example of the standard operating procedure for a missed approach, the results of studies of training processes are presented and conclusions about the main disadvantages of pilot training in Russian airlines are presented. This article is based on the experience of foreign agencies, which also conducted a study on this issue, which made it possible to find out the features of the go-around procedure; the results of the survey coincided with the results of foreign researchers, confirming the relevance of this problem. A solution based on pilot awareness management is proposed.
Keywords: aviation, flight safety, missed approach, simulator training, difficult attitude, loss of control in flight.
